Ruth O. (Shields) Williamson, 92, of Bloomington, IN., passed away September 24, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital. Ruth was born on June 5, 1918 in Monroe County to Raymond and Laura (Archer) Shields.
She worked for MCCSC as a food service manager where she retired. She was also a member of the Highland Village Church in Bloomington.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Williamson and his wife Rolanna of Louisville, KY, Keith Williamson and his wife Lisa of Bloomington, IN., Sister Alice Crouch of Bloomington, IN., four grandchildren Matthew Williamson of Ellettsville, IN, Nathan Williamson of Linton.,
Laura Hash of Bloomington and Regina Kelly also of Bloomington, IN., She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and Sisters Elveda Wampler and Jesse Eads.
Visitation will be on Monday September 27, 2010 from 2-8pm at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S. Old State Road 37 Bloomington; IN. Services will be at 2pm on Tuesday September 28, 2010 at the Highland Village Church in Bloomington with one hour of visitation prior to services. Brother Andrew King will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Smithville Cemetery.
