Shannon L. Griffin, 55, of Bloomington died on Thursday, July 7,
2011 at Garden Villa following a lengthy illness. She was
born on April 13, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of
William L. (Yarnell) Griffin, Sr. She was a homemaker and a
member of the Oneness Pentecostal Church in Owen County. She
graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis.
Survivors include two sons; Howard (Angie) Baird and Matthew Baird,
both of Bloomington, her mother, Shirley Griffin of Whitehall,
three grandchildren; Cadence, Gavin and Curtis, four sisters; Lola
Burnett of Ellettsville, Shirlyn Trimble of Spencer, Diana Katz of
Spencer and Shara Lindsey of Indianapolis, one brother, Timothy
Collins of Bloomington, several aunts and uncles of the Yarnell
family in Loogootee and several nieces and nephews of the Trimble
family of Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her father, William L. Griffin, Sr.,
one sister, Jimmielee Trimble, one brother, William L. Griffin, Jr.
and one nephew, William L. Griffin III.
There will be no services or visitation. Online condolences
