Send Condolence

Steve Paul Bintinger, age 90, went to eternal peace on Tuesday, June 7, 2011.  Steve was born to Justina (Gruber) and John Bintinger on August 6, 1920 in Kleinwarasdorf, Austria.

In 1950 he graduated from Indiana University (Bloomington) with a degree in business. Steve then worked full time as a CPA while going to law school at night. He graduated with a doctorate of law in 1956 from DePaul University (Chicago, IL).  As a tax attorney, he headed a tax department, worked as a comptroller, and later as an inside legal counsel for an accounting firm. 

Steve was a WWII army veteran, a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, a Knight of Columbus (Richmond, VA), and the charter president of the Lions Club in Westchester, IL.

He is survived by his wife Georgianna of 52 years and his daughters, Judy (Larry) Pohlen, Carol (Matt) Kaiser, Susie (Joe) Wehner, his son Steve Jr. and his nine grandchildren: Katie, Mike, Meggie, Bob, Joey, Shelly, Catherine, Andy, and Johnny.

Visitation will be at 9:00am immediately followed by a 10:00am funeral mass. The visitation and mass will be at  St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2222 E. Third Street, Bloomington, IN. on Saturday June 11, 2011.
