Hi Cathy and Larry;, I was very sorry to hear that Steve passed. He used to come by my house sometimes on his way to the store and I would give him a ride the rest of the way and back. He was a good guy and my friend I will miss him. God bless and comfort you Helen

Cathy & Larry Smith & family - Thank you for all you have done for Steve through the years - the family had no idea you were involved in his life in such a way. Steve wouldn't allow too many into his life after he moved to Bloomington. That didn't mean we never stopped loving him and caring about him. You both are saints for what you have done - Steve was just like his dad, Norm, in so many ways. My dad and Steve's dad were brothers. God Bless you and your family Cathy (Silvey) Taylor Cousin

Dear Cynthia, you are in our thoughts at this time of sorrow. My husband, Pat and I were long time friends of Steve originally from Kokomo. We have been good friends since the early seventies. Steve and Pat and I used to go fishing a lot up north. One of my favoite stories was the time we were fishing about an hour north of Kokomo and when we pulled the boat up to go home I stepped out of the front and flipped Steve out the back into some of the worst gook you've ever seen. He drove us home naked! We have laughed about that so many times. We've been running into Steve for years belly up at the bar at the Trojan Horse. Remenicing about the good old days. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend his service as it is our annual Hilly Hundred party of which Steve was invited. I will take a pause at Noon and bid him farewell. His eyes would light up when he spoke of your children. We will miss him...

Dear Cathy and Larry, I can't thank you enough for everything you did for my brother. You were his guardian Angel! It is very comforting to know that someone cared for him. You were an answer to my prayer, prayers that I never knew were answered until the other day. We never stopped loving Steve and wanting to be a part of his life. I am very grateful for you accepting him into your family. Steve had a passion for life and he lived his life to the fullest. He will be missed by his family.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He had a heart of gold and always an inspiring word.I remember one time when my life was spiraling out of control, Steve mailed me a very specila card to boost me up! I never told him how much that meant to me. I have not talked to Steve for several years. Last time we talked he did tell me that he gave his life to Jesus Christ to be Lord and Saviour! I am thankful that he had special friends in Bloomington. I wish I could be there to share today. Thanks to all who cared so much for Steve. May God give you all the Peace that Passes all of our understanding through Jesus Christ our Lord! In Christ's Love, Mike Hornstein
