Teresa C. Carter, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital.  She was 61 years old. Born August 26, 1948 in Bloomington, IN she was the daughter of Vacel and Nina (Keutzer) Kinser.  She was a 1966 graduate of Smithville High School.  She was retired from RCA and had also been a leasing agent at Basswood Apartments.  She enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a member of Shiloh Pentecostal Temple.

Teresa is survived by her children, son Scott Henderson of Bloomington; daughter Heather Short and her husband Zachary of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Bray Henderson, Carter Short and Ella Short all of Bloomington; two brothers, Basil Kinser and his wife Linda and Harold Keutzer and his wife Delores all of Bloomington; two sisters, Joyce Edwards and her husband Fred of Florida and Beth Butler of Bloomington; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Gary Carter.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old State Rd 37 with Brother’s Russell Elkins and Fred Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow at Smithville Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.allenfuneralhome.org.
