To Tomm's family, he is going to be missed more than you know. Although we had fallen out of touch more recently I have very wonderful memories of working with him at Camp Costanoan. His ability to connect with children and adults with disabilities was exceptional. I was blessed to serve with him. He even came to Bloomington one time to visit and met an individual, Trevor, that I served there. I remember Trevor loved Tomm immediately and the memory of that experience warms my heart when I think about it. I think ultimately that will be Tomm's legacy, his ability to love others unconditionally. You all are in my prayers in this difficult time. I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person.

Eileen My heart goes out to you and your family. I remember the good times we had with the kids in marching band and Tomm's beautiful smile. I'm at a loss for words Eileen. You are in my thoughts and prays.

Dear Eileen and Nicole and family, We knew Tomm when he was a St. Malachy school boy who hadn't yet grown into his big smile. Maybe he never could have! Our trip to Washington, D.C. with Nicole chaperoning is a very fond memory for me. It seemed all of Tomm's classmates were jealous of his good fortune in having such a cool sister along. Monica and I send you our prayers. That's the best that we can offer and we pray they bring you some comfort in this awful loss. With love, Annette Lee

I met Tom when he was younger I worked at Fedex with his dad Walter. What I remember most about Tom was his blonde hair and blue eyes, and he had a lot of energy. I know it hurts but Tom is in good hands, he is with God smiling down on everyone saying "Don't be sad I'm doing well!" My thoughts and prayers are with you, Walter, my friend and co-worker, stay strong and God Bless! Rochelle (Momma!)

To Tomms family, My deepest sympathy goes out to you at this hard time. I met Tomm in 2006 at Camp Costanoan and immediately got on with him. He became a good friend, a confident, a shoulder to cry on and much more. I came to Indiana that summer and stayed at your house and had one of the most amazing experiences with him. Even though we only got to briefly see each other over the summers after that we greeted each other like old friends. He will be sorely missed by many and always remembered with a smile on his face. My thoughts are with you, Cleo Dibb

Dear Eileen and Nicole, Even though Tomm and I grew distant over the past few years during high school and college, I still consider him to be a huge part of my life. I fondly remember the times we had during sailing camp and aviation challenge, as well as the countless times my friends and I from St. Malachy spent the night over at his house... I remember these days so well because of how Tomm managed to find fun and enjoyment in virtually any situation. If it was not for Tomm, I would have never discovered my hobbies of sailing and scuba diving nor grown to enjoy music the way I do now. People like Tomm who selflessly give so much are hard to come by and for that I am thankful to have had the opportunity to know him. I will certainly miss him. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts. Sincerely, Daniel Chris Howey

I worked with Tomm at Camp Costanoan in the summer of 2006 and met up with him afterwards for a road trip from his home to Chicago. He was a friendly and outgoing and a larger than life bloke. I'll always remember nights out in San Francisco with fondness. He was a gentle soul and a poet and will be missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends. I hope you are well.
