Wm. Austin Wilson, 93, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 at Monroe Hospital. He was the son of Booker F. and Elsie (Douglas) Wilson born February 25, 1917 in Monroe County, Indiana. Austin retired after 28 years of service with Sarkes Tarzian as the manager of Industrial Engineering. He also was co-owner of Wilson Tool and Engineering Inc. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, mushroom hunting and anything outdoors. He is survived by his three children Phillip L. Wilson and Carole Richardson of Bloomington; Barbara Hanson of St. Louis; and William A. Wilson Jr. and wife Kathy of Bloomington; two grandchildren Sam Wilson of North Carolina and Julie Scott and husband Chris of Linton; six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marcelle K. Wilson, two brothers Glen Wilson and Warren Wilson and two sisters Juanita Livesay and Erma Funkhouser. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Garrison Chapel Cemetery with Glenn Stidd officiating. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of choice.
